MOORING PENDANT BRIDLE
While there are many configurations of mooring pendants, a popular style is a single lead with a bridle. The lead thimble (galvanized or stainless) attaches to the top of the mooring buoy and the soft eyes of the bridle attach to the vessel. The single lead and bridle are joined with a cow hitch. IMS typically makes the lead soft eye 8” while the bridle has two soft eyes, typically 8” and 12 “. The lead line has no chafe sleeve though each leg of the bridle comes standard with 3’ of high bulk nylon chafe sleeve.
